Private abortion treatment

98% of the clients we see in our clinics have their treatment funded by the NHS. This means that there will be no cost to you for your abortion.

However, if you don’t qualify for NHS funding (for example, if you travel from overseas), if you choose to pay privately or if your treatment is covered by private health insurance, this page offers information on private abortion treatment costs.

Visit this page for information on NHS-funded abortion treatment

If you’re not eligible for NHS funding, we provide private abortion treatment.

You’ll find a list of our fees further down this page.

You can pay in cash (pound sterling or euros) or by credit/debit card – and you’ll need to make the payment in person when you come to your appointment. If someone else is paying for you by card, they’ll need to come too.

If you think you’ll have any difficulty paying for your abortion, please call us to discuss this before your appointment.

MSI Reproductive Choices provides a pregnancy test for free during consultation.

Home pregnancy tests are also available both on the high street and online. Your local pharmacy will sell a range of reliable testing kits.

It’s important to remember that the result will not be reliable until about 3 weeks after you had unprotected sex, or after your period is due. If you have any doubts, repeat the test, contact your GP or call our advice line.
